What I enjoyed most at Banksia Park International High School was the excursion camp with the Outdoor Education class. I had the opportunity to try new experiences and at the same time create better relationship with my friend. However, it was a really good way to explore new places and activities in Australia. I was surprised about the variety of subjects at the school, which allows the students to specialise in the subjects they prefer. And participating in Clubs, which helped to create new friendships.
Teachers were very helpful, really understanding and available to answer all my questions.
What I enjoyed most at Banksia Park International High School was the variety of practical lessons which I have never learned in Japan: Photography, Café Skills, Design, Society & Culture. In my home country, I can learn just academic things.
Teachers were very caring and helpful. Although Japanese names can be difficult to pronounce for most, everyone tried to utter correctly and memorised my name and face.
📚🎶 **BOOK WEEK 2026 – A SYMPHONY OF STORIES!** 🎶📚
What a fantastic Book Week celebration! Our staff and students got right into the spirit, with plenty of brilliant costumes and characters making their way around the school.
We had **Mary Poppins**, a member of **ABBA**, and even a very special appearance from the one and only **Bruce Bogspotter**! 😂📖
🏆 We also announced the winner of our **2026 Book Week Writing Competition**, inspired by the question:
**“If every song told a story, what story would it tell?”**
✍️ **Congratulations to Indigo, Year 9**, who took out this year’s writing competition!
👑 And a huge congratulations to **Cedric, Year 11**, who was crowned our **Best Dressed** for 2026!
A big thank you to all the students and staff who dressed up, joined in and helped make our Book Week celebration such a fun one. It was wonderful to see so much creativity, imagination and school spirit on display! 📚✨

To celebrate National Science Week 2026, themed “Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All,” our school enjoyed a vibrant array of science activities both in class and during lunchtime. The Year 12 Science Innovation class took the lead in organising a variety of engaging lunchtime events, including Science Jeopardy, movie sessions, seed bomb making, and an exciting scavenger hunt, with prizes on offer to encourage participation and learning. It was inspiring to see students from all year levels getting involved, sharing their curiosity and enthusiasm for science. Recently, Banksia Park International High School students participated in Bullying No Way Week by exploring the importance of kindness, inclusion and being an upstander during their Student Life lesson. 🤝
