Student Devices For Learning
At Banksia Park International High School we are futures focused, upskilling students in current and emerging technologies. Students use a range of technologies every day to support their learning and develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and digital literacy.
Effective use of technology can enhance student learning and is used frequently throughout the BPIHS curriculum supporting the development of digital literacy skills. Digital literacy is a critical component, enabling students to effectively navigate, evaluate, and create information using a variety of digital platforms and tools ensuring students are well-prepared as global and digital citizens and can leverage technology to support their academic and personal growth.
Laptop Program
Banksia Park International High School (BPIHS) is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school. It is an expectation that each student has access to a laptop enabling them to fully engage in their learning.
BPIHS has partnered with Learning with Technologies (LWT) to provide up-to-date and reliable devices at educational pricing. We recommend all families to purchase a device via our Student Device Portal to enable consistency in learning, support, and the ability to run required software.
Please note, devices purchased from outside of the portal will be supported, but warranty or repairs will need to be resolved by parents or caregivers.
Parents and caregivers who believe they may have difficulty meeting the financial commitment for this program are encouraged to contact their relevant Year Level Leader to discuss available options.
How to Order a laptop
Devices purchased via the Student Device Portal will be shipped directly to the school ready for collection during the fee paying days in January 2025. Devices purchased after the 6th of January will be shipped to the school for collection and setup from our ICT Helpdesk once the school year has commenced.
